I would like to this opportunity to wish each of you and your families a very blessed and prosperous New Year. The last year was a tremendous year for your Lodge and I envision nothing but the continuation of the energy and enthusiasm into 2013.
I am especially reflective of the year with respect to our new members who have become Master Masons, those in the process and especially those who are thinking about joining. We are a very, very select group of men, dedicated to goodness and reflect that ideal in all of our words, actions and contacts with the rest of the world.
We represent each other and the actions of one reflects on everyone else in the Fraternity, thus the awareness of Freemasonry.
As we go into the new year, we should re-dedicate ourselves to that goodness and continue to grow in our journey of becoming a Freemason. With the growth, comes the need for change as we have new needed directions, strategies and vision while maintaining our philosophies and goals given to us through the efforts of the Brothers of antiquity
With the new demographics and memberships, these changes will be a new way of life for us for a while and it is up to each of us to embrace the changes and work together as we grow in friendships and work toward the common good. I encourage a tremendous amount of mentoring and also the acceptance of being mentored as we move through the year 2013.
To those who have aspirations of becoming a Freemason as well as those in process, be patient and enjoy the process. You are developing a way of life and the journey is a beautiful one. I know things sometimes move slowly but speed is not the concern, the process of understanding and the expected behaviors are. You will be invited to enjoy the friendships and opportunities so we get to know you as well as you get to know us.
As always keep those who have gone to that House made not made with hands this year and their families in your thoughts and prayers. Say a prayer for our Sweethearts (widows) and keep them aware of their late husband's Lodge activities when you can.
