Well another year has come and gone and your Lodge has made giant strides this year. From the excitement of new Masons and the new upgrades of our facility to the sadness of the loss of our members and their family members to that house not made with hands. We mourn our losses, but we understand as Masons that a reward is waiting for us in immortality. Please keep them and all their families in your prayers.
A short note regarding our building updates, a Brother recently asked me where are we getting the money for this updating? There have been a few disbursements from the Temple Board, but Brother's donations have made up a most of it. The ceiling, insulation, plastic, face plates, switches and the wireless router have all been donated. The labor has been donated by members.
The furniture is from a used office furniture entity which has seen record inventories due to the closing of facilities in the area because of the economy. So the prices have been below rock bottom and a fraction (literally) of new furniture. The Secretary's office furniture has been purchased by another Brother's donation. Other items for the rest of the remodel we already have or are to be donated, just a re-arrangement if you will.
The Lodge is well aware of our financial situation and makes only wise, thoughtful decisions. The expenditures are part of the long range strategy of membership gain, facility utilization and longevity as a Masonic Lodge for generations to come.
Your officers have been elected and Installation will take place on January 14th. This is due to the tremendous amount of Degree work we have done this fall and the Christmas eve falling on our last meeting date in December.
I wish you all a joyous Holiday season and celebrate the spiritual season as you celebrate within your volume of Sacred Law.
As a Christian, I and many others will celebrate Christmas, if you profess a different faith or religion, celebrate in the tradition that brings you back to the Spirit as we will all come together as Brothers and believers in Deity.
